They came to my house, took away my XBox 360, diagnosed and fixed the problem and redelivered it in a couple of days in full working order for a great price. What more can you ask for? Apparently they handle all matter of tech and if that's the case I've found a new home for all my computer, A/V and console repair. They were fast, effective and extremely helpful. "This started out with me posting a question on the yelp questions and answers page. My PlayStation 3 broke and I knew there must be someone locally that could repair it. The GEEKsters came to my rescue and I'm happy to be able to give The GEEKsters explained to me that most PS3's at some point will have the dreaded yellow light of death, which comes from the system overheating. You can send your unit to Sony for $150, and hope they actually send your unit back. Most of the time I have read they just send you someone else's refurbished unit. In the past this was no big deal with PS2, but the PS3 has a hard drive with all your saved games, as well as other data you can store on there. I have videos on there, which So it was time to give the GEEKsters a shot. From their website It looks like they are set up to handle larger computer problems for commercial clients as well as residential. I can say from start to finish this little PlayStation repair was handled with the same professionalism as any other company they do business with. Living in the OC, they saved me a lot of time by having a drop off location in Garden Grove. Not that I wouldn't have driven my PS3 up to Glendale, but still it's a heck of a lot easier to use their drop off location. The turn around time on this repair was 48 hours, however because it fell on a weekend, they offered to speed it up to 24 hours at no extra fee. It was a nice offer that they were willing to get it done that fast, even if I didn't take them up on it. Hey, I can survive without my PS3 for a weekend. As soon as I dropped the unit off, I was called with a confirmation that it was in their system. I was given many ways to get in contact with Paul Rangel - their senior tech. Including Skype address! Before I picked the unit back up, Paul spent a few minutes on the phone with me explaining what went wrong, and a few tips on how to stop it from happening again. The PS3 works perfectly fine now. My DVD was returned and my PS3 memory is intact. I haven't checked youtube, but I'm sure I can trust them :) They take their business very seriously and go out of their way to make their customers happy.
